Toronto doesn’t have mountains nearby—the landscape is flat, and the energy of the city reflects that. But in Scotland, the mountains don’t just sit in the background; they define everything. They shape the scenery, influence the atmosphere, and even impact the way people live and interact. Visiting in May added another layer to the experience. The days were often cloudy, with steady rain and strong winds carrying through both day and night. Yet somehow, this unpredictable weather, combined with the season, created a unique and unforgettable mood—one that felt deeply connected to the land itself. The city photos are captured with the Ricoh GR IIIx, and the nature photos are taken with the Fujifilm X-T5.
